The Potholers Prayer

Oh Lord please grant that in yon holes

Down which Ease Gill or Fell Beck flows

The crawls be blessed with a little height

Anssages be a bit less tight

And now I pray that in Alum Pot

We are not hit by lead that's hot

And bloke who waits for tanner fee

Is swinging from the nearest tree.
