Committee (Iron Kiln) {Notts II} Pot

 

 

Club trip started at Cowan Bridge car park with all those attending turning up on time, amazing! Cars left behind and the three  cars on the permit arrived en masse at the gate on Leck Fell together, amazing!

Only a Grade 1 change as, unlike most changes there, it wasn’t blowing a gale, raining horizontally or bitterly cold, but pleasant sunshine. After customary photo shoot at the entrance a speedy descent was made by all to Mincemeat Aven for a gathering. A bumble down Inlet 13 to the main streamway to Kleine Scheidegg and then Ray and Julian made it to beyond the start of the dive line, really dry compared with how it normally looks. A few photos on the cascade and then it was back upstream to Inlet 13 again. We left Starkers to make his way out nursing a sore knee, not from caving, and all waded upstream to Curry Inlet.  The photographers played about and me, Julian, Sam C., Steve and Alan made our way out passing the flashers at Curry Junction. A speedy exit without any drama, can’t be a club trip, and we all assembled in balmy sunshine to change and leave. A good trip.
